Professor David Sebag-Montefiore

David Sebag-Montefiore is Professor of Clinical Oncology at the University of Leeds and St. James’s Institute of Oncology. He qualified at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in London and completed his oncology training at Middlesex, Mount Vernon and St. Bartholomew’s Hospital before taking up his Consultant post at Cookridge Hospital in Leeds. His research interests include gastrointestinal cancer with a focus on radiotherapy and chemoradiation in rectal and anal cancer. He is a member of the NCRI colorectal study group and anorectal subgroup, CTRad workstream 3 and is a Vice-Chair of Cancer Research UK’s Clinical and Translational Awards and Advisory Committee (CTAAC). He has led or co-led large phase III trials in anal and rectal cancer including the MRC CR07, ACT 2 and ARISTOTLE trials. view webcast...
