Mr Garrett Nash

Dr Garrett Nash received an MD from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University, New York and an MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Harvard School of Public Health, Boston. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Weill- Cornell Medical College and a Surgeon at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. The focuses of his clinical practice include minimally invasive techniques for colorectal cancer and the management of peritoneal surface malignancies (including appendix cancer, pseudomyxoma peritonei and mesothelioma). His clinical research involves prospective clinical trials of new technology and surgical techniques for advanced colorectal and appendiceal malignancies, as well as optimizing surgical margins and lymph node retrieval for colon and rectal cancers. He is the primary investigator of the first American randomized trial of intraperitoneal chemotherapy for appendix and colon cancer; this trial is expected to begin enrolling patients in January 2013.
